Who we are
Flight Crew Fitness ("FCF," "we," "us") is a fitness and health tracking app built for airline crew members. It is operated as a sole proprietorship by Buryl Chad Cooper. You can reach us at support@flightcrew.fit.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to make the app work:
- Account information — your email address and password (or Apple ID if you use Sign In with Apple), used to create and secure your account.
- Health and fitness data — workout logs, nutrition entries, water intake, and body metrics you enter manually or sync from your Oura ring.
- HealthKit data — with your explicit permission, we read activity and health data from Apple HealthKit to power your daily briefing and trends. We do not write to HealthKit.
- Crew schedule data — your imported flight schedule (ICS file), used locally to personalize your briefing. This is not stored on our servers.
- Device information — basic device type and OS version, used for troubleshooting.
- Usage data — which features you use, used to improve the app. No personally identifiable information is attached to this data.
How we use your data
- To provide your personalized daily briefing, workout recommendations, and nutrition tracking.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To process your Pro subscription payment (via Stripe on web, or Apple In-App Purchase on iOS).
- To respond to support requests.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your health data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Third-party services
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and logged health data are stored on Supabase servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Oura — if you connect your Oura ring, we access your activity data via the Oura API using your authorization. See ouraring.com/privacy-policy.
- Stripe — processes web subscription payments. We do not store your card number. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Apple — processes iOS in-app purchases and, if used, Sign In with Apple authentication. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Open Food Facts — used for barcode-based food lookup. Queries are anonymous. See openfoodfacts.org/privacy.
- Anthropic Claude API — used for AI-powered food photo recognition. Photos are sent to the API for analysis and are not stored by us. See anthropic.com/privacy.
HealthKit
Flight Crew Fitness requests access to Apple HealthKit data solely to display your health and fitness information within the app and to generate your personalized daily briefing. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, never shared with third parties for their own purposes, and never sold. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in your iPhone's Settings app under Privacy & Security > Health.
Data retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Health and fitness logs are deleted along with your account — we do not retain them.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@flightcrew.fit. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
Flight Crew Fitness is intended for adult airline crew members. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
